Scott Doane, BACP registered counsellor in Eastbourne, East Sussex

    about me

As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I follow the ethical guidelines of the association, and strive to ensure the best possible outcome for all of my clients. Your wellbeing is my primary goal

As a person-centred counsellor, I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can work toward your own personal empowerment and to overcome any struggles you are facing.

I have experience working with those who struggle with Anxiety, Depression, and Suicidal thoughts. I also have experience working with those who are facing big or potentially big changes in their lives – through retirement, career changes, health issues and relationship challenges.

In couple counselling, I provide a safe space in which we can work at the emotional level, to bring strength back to the relationship. I believe that having security in our relationship is fundamental in flourishing as individuals. This is true for all the many different forms of relationship that exists, and I am open to all varieties of relating, without prejudice.

My personal history has held many twists and turns, and this rich experience of life feeds my approach.

I am a father of 4 children, and have set up and run various businesses in my entrepreneurial career.

I have worked in investment banking, managed departments in a telecoms company, and I have worked as sole trader striving desperately to make a living.

I have myself experienced bullying at school, depression and anxiety, had panic attacks, and walked through “hell” in relationship breakdowns. But I have found my way through all of this and more, which is of course what led me into counselling in the first place.

My hope now is to give back some of the good support that I have received myself over the years, through the many great individuals and groups that I have worked with.

If you think that I can  help, then please do not hesitate to get in touch. There is no pressure and no obligation attached. My only interest is to help you in any way I can.

    Core Values

I am committed to building safety with clients through connecting, compassion and caring.

I seek to empower people of all ages to know themselves, to take ownership of their lives and to find a deeper sense of purpose and contentment.

    My Mission

My mission is to create a more joyful and harmonious world, by helping those that I can help, and supporting events that foster greater connection and community

I run the Sun and Moon wellness gathering, an annual event that brings together many wonderful wellness teachers for a week of wellness, community ad personal growth
