Counselling for women

Working with a male counsellor may feel different to working with a female counsellor. It may feel more comfortable in some situations, and less comfortable in others. This is true, whether you are male or female yourself.

I work with both men and women, and always strive to empathically connect with the human being in front of me, whatever their sex. I use a person-centred approach in my work, supported by a broad life experience. Non-judgement, authenticity, open mindedness and empathy are the key qualities I aim bring into the room. I am 100% here for you.

Prefer to talk to a female counsellor instead?

I recommend Elisa Dalla Vedova, a BACP qualified counsellor in Eastbourne, and Brighton. Elisa is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish

Male counselling in Eastbourne

Is a male counsellor right for you?

There are various reasons why you may prefer a male counsellor to a female counsellor - and equally, it may not seem like a question of much importance to you. What is important is the relationship you have with that counsellor, whether they are male or female. If I seem like a person that you can form a connection with, based on trust and integrity, then I am certainly open to working with you.

As a man, I bring a male energy into the room. But that maleness is tempered by empathy and compassion - my main tools in building a therapeutic relationship. My commitment is always towards non-judgemental enquiry, with curiosity and support.

  • Counselling for women by a male counsellor
For the last 5 years I have been a part of a men's peer to peer support group, and that work continues to inform my therapeutic approach. Doing my own self-development work as a man is transformative in allowing me to be open and clear with the feminine. Healing my own wounds allows me to bear witness to others in a more complete and untainted way, removing blocks and prejudices
  • Thriving as a woman - living life to the fullest
Removing our blocks to happiness in ourselves and our relationships is one step on the road to fully thriving in this world. Beyond survival, there is also the question of finding purpose and mission in this world. What does that mean to you? How do you want to live your life? What do you need to do to get there?
